A rare Saturday special edition of SASSL Open Practice at Normoyle will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 3, most likely on Field 2 at Normoyle Park Softball Complex. Ed Jernigan, manager of the SASSL Spring League 60/65s gold-division champion Warriors, will lead the batting and fielding practice session open to all San Antonio Seniors Softball League players and prospects 39 and older, to include 30+ female coed players and prospects.

SASSL Open Practice at Normoyle Park has been cancelled for tomorrow, Tuesday, May 30. Flash flooding caused by Memorial Day Monday afternoon and early evening thunderstorms saturated the fields at Normoyle Park sufficiently enough for SASSL Groundskeeper J.J. Valdez to make the call: NO SASSL OPEN PRACTICE TUESDAY, MAY 30, AT NORMOYLE PARK.
San Antonio Seniors Softball League 40-and-older spring league games will be played tonight as scheduled for Wednesday, May 24 at Normoyle Park Softball Complex. SASSL Head Groundskeeper and San Antonio Legends 75s living legend of senior softball Earlie Satterwhite said "don't forget your bug spray" because the mosquitoes will be thick at swamplike Normoyle tonight. - Tim Hipps, SASSL Media & Public Relations
