SASSL Open Practices at Olmos Basin in full swing for spring training

We're back on the Rusty Lyons Softball Field at Olmos Basin for SASSL Spring Training on Monday and Wednesday mornings. First pitch: 9 a.m. Batting practices open to all San Antonio Seniors Softball League players and prospects. 

SASSL Open Practices at Olmos Basin Mondays & Wednesdays

  • On Rusty Lyons Softball Field or Coach Arthur Bain Baseball Diamond at 5200 McCullough Ave., near the intersection of McCullough Avenue and Basse Road. 
  • 9 a.m. start time varies (weather dependent). Check here for updates.  
  • Open to all San Antonio Seniors Softball League players and prospects 39 and older, to include female coed players and prospects 30 and older. 

 

San Antonio Legends to host SASSL Preseason Tournament Feb. 23-26

The fields are set for the 2023 San Antonio Seniors Softball League Preseason Tournament hosted by San Antonio Legends, Feb. 23-26, at the Normoyle Park Softball Complex.

 

SASSL 70-and-older draft league teams will compete Thursday, Feb. 23, followed by SASSL 75+ draft league Outlaws, Old Stars, Tigers and Underdogs on Friday, 60+ Saturday, and 50+ Sunday.

The 60s division consists of Team Texas, Old School Rebels, Rattlers, Silver Streaks, Cobras, Silver Stars, .45s, M60 Tankers, S&S Club, and Texas Threat 60s. 

The 50s division consists of Alamo City Heat, Relentless, Team Creed, San Antonio Bandits, H4B (Here For Beer), and Softball Rehab.

Entry fee for the double-elimination event is $200 + $10 per game for umpires.
